About the event
Jenn Butterworth is widely recognised as one of the UK's leading exponents of traditional folk guitar.
Renowned for her exceptional skills in collaboration, accompaniment and arrangement, she seamlessly adapts to any stage, whether performing in an intimate venue or commanding a large festival audience. In 2019, Jenn was awarded Musician of the Year at the Scots Trad Music Awards and was nominated for the same title at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
She has contributed to numerous celebrated albums, including BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winning album 'Songs of Separation', and Kinnaris Q's Free One and This Too.
Her self-produced debut solo album 'Her By Design' was released to widespread critical acclaim in 2025, entering the Official UK Album Download Charts and the Official Folk Charts and winning the prestigious Annual Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik (German Record Critics' Award).
